How can we help journalists 2: 1) not write ‘commit’ suicide but use ‘died by suicide’. 2) not present the triggering factor (eg quarrel) as the main cause. 3) not mention the method used. 4) highlight that suicide is complex. mental disorders can lead to it & are treatable.

For #Match2024 one thing i would say is please know your CV in and out and please do not fall in trap of people who say just write it for sake of writing. Never compromise integrity of your work. Write what you did , because interviewer can pick it in a second whats true or not

When you’re a psych intern on the medicine floor and get the end-of-rotation feedback from your attending that ” you were exceptionally talented and worked almost like a second-year medicine resident ”. 🙏🏽😭 Hard work paid off!

Cultural/ Religious sensitivity is the backbone of an inclusive and diverse residency training program. In the coming days, I’d love to know more about other religions/ cultures and how I can celebrate them better for my fellow residents/ colleagues. Here’s a thread for Ramadan!

Received a beautiful hand-painted gratitude card from a patient I had worked with recently. It was a beautiful reminder of the work we do, the difference we can make, and the happiness it brings to us. Grateful to be a physician. 💫
