Yes!!! children in grades 3-5 are in modules that are asking them to round numbers. I often wonder is rounding the real concept or is it really an opportunity to reach up and grab a section of a number line that they may never have viewed or discussed in-depth. #elemmathchat

The idea of the open number line is powerful! It enables us to create the visual and then interchange the numbers at will. It gives students an anchor to work with! #elemmathchat ElemMathChat (Look for me on Sky)
