As council organized last night for its new two-year session, I was fortunate enough to be re-elected mayor pro tempore by my colleagues. I’m humbled by the support of the mayor and fellow council members and look forward to our ongoing efforts to move City of Mauldin forward.

We’re a rapidly growing city, but Mauldin still has its small town values with an "others first" mentality. When we prioritize the well-being of our neighbors, friends, and fellow residents, incredible things happen.

In case you haven’t heard, Jenkins St, which connects N. Main St to Murray Drive, will close for approximately four weeks beginning Mon, Feb 5. Jenkins St will be realigned for a new Murray Dr connection as Mauldin’s City Center Village continues moving to reality.

Don’t forget. Today is the SC Republican Presidential Primary. Polls are open from 7 am-7 pm. As long as you’re in line when the polls close, you’ll be allowed to vote. Your regular polling place may change, so check your voter registration at scvotes.org to find out.

In August of 2017, I was proud to help MP Husky break ground on their 150,000 sq ft Mauldin plant. Less than 7 yrs later, MP Husky is expanding with $11.1 million in investment and 35 new jobs. We're glad to have MP Husky as a part of the Mauldin family. bit.ly/3XUPfnl

There will be a temporary lane closure on Knollwood Dr next Mon- Wed from 7:30-5:00, weather permitting. We do not anticipate a full lane closure -- only partial. A road plate will be utilized during off hours with road back open.
