Hey remember when we were going to “tone down the rhetoric”? I’m eager to understand how telling our Vice President to “go to hell” is acceptable but pointing out that Trump represents an existential threat to democracy is too divisive.

Trump cannot be allowed to say one thing publicly and then cowardly let his team go behind the scenes to fix it. If he can’t debate without muting the mics, he should have to say that.

For everyone advising VP Harris to do more of these sit-down interviews the way Trump has done: Trump rarely if ever faces pushback or fact-checking when he does these interviews. If they aren’t held to the same standards by the media, their strategies will reflect that.
