Saskatchewan, we have so much potential and opportunity. But under Premier Scott Moe, we're last in Canada when it comes to healthcare and education. You deserve better.

Scott Moe Speaking of 16 years, that’s *almost* the length of time you’ve been in power. And after 17 years of Sask Party rule, we’re last in education and healthcare. Stop fighting so hard to keep us there.

The greatest investment we can make in the future of Saskatchewan is by investing in our kids. We used to have the best funded schools in Canada. Now, we're in last place. We'll reverse the cuts, making a generational $2B investment in our kids' future. It's time for change.

It's funny when commenters call us teachers NDP hacks. The Saskatchewan New Democrats is offering funding, class size and complexity in contracts, and a willingness to listen. The Saskatchewan Party has hammered public education funding (first to worst in a decade) and doesn't care. Easy choice. #skpoli

In Ontario, the gov created “wholly-owned subsidiaries” which they then proceeded to sell off as they privatized their Crown. This is a mighty quiet launch by SaskPower. Watch this space. #skpoli

Heart breaking. The Sask Govt is denying this child's fundamental right to receive an education. This story is not unique. I know of other special needs kids in the same situation. Shameful. cbc.ca/news/canada/sa…

Poor Hugo is just the tip of the iceberg. For every child needing to stay home, there are dozens more at school with unsafe levels of supervision due to the chronic underfunding and understaffing. Heartbreaking consequences have happened before and more seem inevitable 💔

The Regina Street Team does critical work.🫸🫷 But. I've got some Qs for Makowsky: - why wait until an election? - why only $189,000 this yr? - why not reverse provincial choices driving much of the need for expanded outreach? Scrap SIS, fix vacant units etc Photo ops are easy.

Saskatchewan has the lowest provincial per-student funding for school food programs in Canada, at four cents per student per day. Today, Carla Beck and the Saskatchewan New Democrats announced they would launch a healthy school food program, ensuring no kid learns on an empty stomach.

Thinking of the staff, students and extended Evan Hardy School community in the wake of a difficult and sad day. I encourage everyone to show their support and kindness while respecting the privacy of those involved.

This week Carla Beck laid out our plans for Education if elected 🗳️ 🧑‍🏫 $2 billion over 4 years for Education, a generational investment 🥪 A school lunch program so no child goes hungry and parents save on groceries 🏫 New schools for communities that need them #skpoli

Scott Moe More lies. This was created by an NDP government as a tuition refund program in 2000 and updated in 2007. The whole story? Since you Scott Moe took office, tuition costs for students have increased by a quarter. Saskatchewan now has the 2nd highest undergrad tuitions in Canada.

Many events help across #Saskatchewan today to mark FASD Awareness Day. Great to join the Sk FASD Network and Eagle Heart Centre at their walks in #yqr. FASD is too often misunderstood and stigmatized. Thanks to all those working on education, prevention, and support. 💪

Saskatchewan people deserve the same protection from unreasonable & excessive rent hikes we see elsewhere in the country. Today we announced our plan to do just that. We’ll also restore the SIS direct payment option for landlords. It just makes sense. leaderpost.com/news/politics/…

Saskatchewan New Democrats (@sask_ndp) 's Twitter Profile Photo

Rents in SK are soaring faster than anywhere else in Canada—up 22% last year alone. That’s why we’re introducing the Landlord and Tenant Rent Protection Act to stop excessive rent hikes and opening 3000 vacant provincial housing units collecting dust. It’s time for change!

At a time when everything has gotten more expensive, Saskatchewan is seeing the highest increases to rent in the country — up 22% this last year. I hear from people daily who were doing fine just a couple years ago but are now struggling with the basics. It's time for change.

Today we announced our plan to: - protect renters from excessive rent hikes - reinstate direct payment of rent to landlords option (SIS) - invest 100M to restore the 3,000+ vacant housing units neglected by the Sask Party during a homelessness crisis It just makes sense.
