From a Texas State University alumna, this is excellent advice. As a freshman, or even a high school student, you hear that college is going to be a challenge. But do you believe it? Most of time, not until you actually get there. It is ok if you don't have it altogether everyday.

I can't stress this enough: Apply! When I was in college, interning somewhere was not possible because I had financial responsibilities and more often than not, student internships were not paid. Thank you, Dow Jones News Fund, for accepting grads into your program!
