Yesterday I gave a lecture on the island of Büyükada, where Trotsky spent the first four years (1929-1933) of his exile from the Soviet Union. I thank Mayor Ali Ercan Akpolat for his hospitality and sincere respect for the legacy of Leon Trotsky.
