Great to see this programme starts for pregnant women from September in order to protect their babies in the first months of life. Like other vaccines offered in pregnancy (COVID, flu, whooping cough) it isn't a live vaccine so can also be taken by immunosuppressed mothers.

We support Royal College of Physicians Melanie Nana on the importance of prioritising women’s health agenda across the UK. We cannot let it fall off the political radar and risk losing the gains we’ve already made.
