Rural Dems have been asking for this kind of outreach in South Georgia for years! Metro atl is obviously important but turning out just a few percentages more Dems in these little south ga counties is crucial to the overall state numbers. Warnock campaign understood this.

Last year a bill offering up to $300 tax credit for purchase of gun safe storage equipment passed overwhelmingly out of the House, through Senate Finance, and was on the Senate Rules calendar. The state Senate, headed by LG Burt Jones, refused to bring it to a vote, and it died.

Assault rifles like the AR-15 do not belong on our streets but in Georgia you can carry them out in the open without a permit thanks to Republican state leaders. This kind of an environment has consequences. Georgians deserve better.
