Awesome experience today...first time ever to run in the Falmouth Road Race in Massachusetts. 7 miles...a few hills, quite a bit of humidity & def some trips into the pain cave at times to keep up a good pace. Super fun...great community support & very happy to run it in 52:54!

Was certainly wanting some calories lol after the big run today. The Chatham Squire in Chatham, MA had some of the best fish in an order of fish and chips I think I've ever had.

Cool things seen in last 2 days in Cape Cod: Godfrey Windmill in Chatham, built in 1797, still works & used to grind corn twice a yr! Seals at Chatham Pier Fish Market Nobska Lighthouse in Woods Hole, view outside & tower bulb that emits a light visible for 13 nautical miles!

Yes...Lighthouses are cool. Went to one in Chatham w/ a light visible for 24 nautical miles but only open for tours 1 day a week. Kind of an analog thing in a digital world but there's a charm about them & clearly once were immensely important to mariners oceanservice.noaa.gov/facts/lighthou…

Despite delayed flights, rebooking and rental car fiascos I still made it to Junction last night around 1am for some Labor Day Weekend R&R. Checking out the TTU-Junction campus which was the site of the TAMU Junction Boys training camp back in 1954 and a lookout over town.
