Our protective services lack the resources, and the Garda isn't proactive enough. We must do better to safeguard vulnerable children, but instead, the media will spend weeks talking about an overpriced bike shed to distract us from the real issues that need to be addressed

It was shit. Spent my teens sleeping rough because of the sexual abuse I suffered, and nobody believed me
