Lula’s victory was made by the working classes, Black, Indigenous, and LGBT people of Brazil who stood together with love and solidarity against the media, the state and huge corporations to win in the smallest of democratic windows.

Labour in the UK are actually an absolute joke. Brazil and Colombia have shown us that in the face of fascism and a cost of living crisis, it's a radical justice-based and people-led alternative that wins, not more of the same.

It's really sad to watch #PoliticsLive and just see absolutely no empathy for displaced communities. We don't have a 'migrant crisis' we have a profound crisis of empathy.
