Thought Osaka played really well to beat Ostapenko. Dreadful outfit, but great performance! Now 20/1 is best for a third US Open title.

The race of interest tomorrow is 14:40Ch. In the last three runnings of this race, the winners were drawn 4-3-4. But that doesn't tell the whole story. Five hcaps 7.5f with 10+ runners this season, and the winners were drawn 13-4-10-11-10. Max 15 run tomorrow. Do you go H or L?

14:40Ch I like the chances of Divine Libra 12/1 EW four places most firms. "Hasn't been treated kindly by the draw," according to Timeform, but happy to take a chance given recent draw results here. Incidentally, only horse <50.0 Betfair in top four high draws. Traps 13,12 NRs!

Close but no cigar! Second SP 9/1. Interesting that Tom Segal said the following when putting up horses drawn 3&4 in the race: (Which is, of course, true but doesn't reflect this season's trends)

Today's sprint hcap results by draw: 7.5f 7-14-10 13R (NRs 1-12-13-17) 5f 7-9-12 10R (NRs 5-8) 6f 6-11-8 10R (NR 9) No horse drawn <6 placed. The trend continues (even on good ground!)

Tomorrow at 5 pm (U.K. time) in New York, two girls - both born in New York - go H2H for a place in the semi-finals. Badosa is slight favourite to beat Navarro. My preference is for a Badosa win as I have 6/1 her winning the quarter. No great confidence and no value in hedging!

13:50A I see Hugh Taylor likes Dakota Power, which has to be respected, I like the one drawn alongside, Crystal Casque 11/1 EW four places WH/B365

With the soft ground at Ascot, there are already quite a few non-runners. The first race may prove to be the only decent EW race on the straight course. I'm playing two EW, FOUR places: Streets Of Gold 20/1, Spangled Mac 16/1. Good luck..

Think I'm almost done with punting. Too much effort for too little reward. Dwindling accounts, etc. Decent run since 96, so it's been fun and profitable most of the time. Some pics from today's activity: nationalgallery.org.uk Go see, it's free;

This was such a great call. I thought the debate would be positive for KH but not the overwhelming success that it seems to have been. And the market has flip-floped.

Is this the best pint of Guinness in the UK? The Devonshire Pub (opposite Zedel). Busy lunchtime, not a single male drinking anything else, and the majority of women drinking the black stuff, too. Extremely good pint!

16:40Ch was 14 runner (7f). Horses drawn 13,12,11,10 withdrawn (and trap one). One or more of those NRs draw related? Must be. Find it extraordinary as there doesn't seem to be a Chester draw bias anymore. Trap 14 is now favourite for the race!

Just having a quick look at the Curragh tomorrow and Follow Me at 33/1 in the first looks very interesting. Didn't work out for him at Royal Ascot over a mile and back to 6f here on good ground. He's only 5lbs higher than winning well here in May and has a good high draw
