One year miiiiggghhhtttt be excused. Two years with HALF of #Minnesota's public school students struggling to read? That's systemic failure. We need to give parents the freedom and resources to escape failing schools. We need #ESAs!

The numbers are undeniable and they tell as story of systemic failure. Note the decline began before COVID. The school closings simply accelerated the collapse in proficiency rates. We can spend 10 years trying to fix a very broken system or we can give parents #SchoolChoice.

School choice was THE winning issue in the 2024 primary elections. In the primaries, our team defeated 67% (!) of the anti-school choice lawmakers we targeted. Politicians need to listen to parents - or should expect to lose their seat.

Whether it's Michigan or Minnesota, the pattern is clear across the country. Spending on education is through the roof while proficiency rates for reading and math are plummeting. In #Minnesota, in 2023 and 2024, 50% of public school students aren't proficient in reading.
