Today, we honor the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our nation. Their courage and dedication will never be forgotten. Let us remember their lives, cherish their legacy, and uphold the freedoms they fought so valiantly to protect. #MemorialDay

80 years ago, Allied forces stormed the beaches of Normandy, marking a turning point in WWII. Today & always, we honor their enduring legacy in the fight for freedom. Please watch the clip below from Andy Rooney in 2004, which adds perspective in memorializing those brave souls.

Here are 3 Statehouse races I'd invest in after the primary - Heather Bauer for SC 75 (now in a rematch against trust fund Finlay) - Charlie Murray (let's win back HD116) - John Moffett for House (Let's flip HD110) secure.actblue.com/donate/3-to-in…

Today, on the 9th anniversary of the Mother Emanuel tragedy, we continue to mourn the loss of the nine souls who were called home that day. Our hearts are with their loved ones. May we commit to honoring their memory & legacy through unity & love, not hate. Let us never forget.

This Juneteenth, we honor the end of slavery & recognize the ongoing struggle for equality & justice. Let's reflect, educate, & act to build a more just society. Together, we can create a brighter future for the Lowcountry and our nation.

Bipartisan alignment on something that is badly needed. Sign me up. As an expecting dad, and an uncle to nieces & nephews ages 2 to 18, I'm greatly concerned about the overuse of screens. I hope to work to enact similar measures in SC to protect our children's safety & wellbeing.

Good chat with my old friend John Moffett for House, who is running for state house to represent downtown Charleston and Mt. Pleasant. You should send him money right now: Moffettforhouse.com

The areas between Hilton Head and downtown Charleston are in the 20-30 inches of rain category of this map. That and a small storm surge are ridiculously problematic and dangerous. Keep the Lowcountry in your thoughts and prayers.

Jim Cantore is on the Mount Rushmore of Meteorologists. A 1st ballot weather hall of famer. The GOAT. So when he shows up in your town during a major storm, you know it's serious. #Debby is a SERIOUS storm. Please act accordingly. Take precaution. Stay off the roads. Stay safe
