And today - brilliant to see the English Devolution Bill announced in the King’s Speech. This will put English devolution on a firmer footing, empowering existing mayors and new places across the country to deliver reform for their communities.

Building homes, rail, energy, reservoirs, sewers is how Labour's going to grow the economy. Construction wages are going to go so high under a Labour government. A wave of consultants retraining as plasterers is coming.

Need to see the detail, but I think Rachel Reeves has grounds to be cross. The in-year funding pressures do genuinely appear to be greater than could be discerned from outside. The £9bn contingency ‘reserve’ has seemingly been spent several times over. It’s a mess.

Pretty obvious that Labour couldn't have predicted this spending hole if the OBR is having to a do a review about how much the last government misled them.

Outrageous that these 54 MPs want to actually fix Britain’s structural problems when they could spend their time posturing like Clive instead.
