Today marks 50 yrs since the SFA lifted the ban on womens football in Scotland. We are proud to have made landmark films about women pioneers who fought for equality: #Honeyballers #RoseReilly #TheWomenWhoBuiltGlasgowCity #SadieSmith #JulieFleeting A Most Unsuitable Game Margot McCuaig
The minute from the SFA that we mark today: Women's Football (Item 70. Executive and General Purposes Committee): It was agreed to give recognition to women's football. (SFA Minutes, 29 August 1974). So little said for all those years of hurt. #50YearsOn A Most Unsuitable Game
Gerry Hassan 🇺🇦 Thanks for having us (Karen Fraser Julie McNeill ) on to talk about the book A Most Unsuitable Game and the ban.
As will be obvious, I am passionate about the history of women's football in Scotland & telling it to as many people as possible. If any teams or groups are interested in hearing more get in touch - I will try not to rant too much but can't promise. #50YearsOn A Most Unsuitable Game

The main batch of books are on their way to our distributor Lomond Books Ltd so only days away from sending out those pre-orders; and then into shops. Thanks all for patience.
What a super line-up for the Culture Perth & Kinross Autumn Writers event, including Mark Baillie's debut novel Salvage, a cracking book, a tragic story, 'read it & weep' literally, we did.
So excited to have my hands on early copies of A Most Unsuitable Game! Seems appropriate to take a photo of it on the kitchen table - a place where so much of women’s early football was planned, and where chats and edits for this book, were juggled in between family and work.
