Reading some people's take on the French election tonight and it's clear they don't understand how French elections work

I find it astonishing that throughout the campaign, the Tories keep wanging on about lowering tax but barely a whimper about fixing the public services. There's palpable frustration but Tory HQ doesn't see it.
