The final battle with the Reaper King awaits so tension courses through every page. Mia and the Secrets of Lunis Janelle McCurdy is an epic finale to the trilogy. Out 15/8/24 for 9+. Don’t miss this! Thanks Faber Children's 📖 checkemoutbooks.wordpress.com/2024/07/31/mia…
Exceptional and unique. Dystopian setting, mysteries, unspoken history and well executed action. Sci-fi at its best encourages engagement with difficult and complex questions- this does so gloriously as it explores causality and the impact of choice. Thank you Alastair Chisholm
Deeply enjoyable excellence. A world where magic has been diluted down and is in danger of being lost. Subtle and clever, with exceptional world building and rich supporting cast. Superbly developed lead character, dialect and beautiful insights on life. Magical. Ta L. D. Lapinski / Lucy Lapinska
Wonderful dual narrator tale of survival in the Artic. Beautifully set up, with just enough time spent developing the characters before thrusting them into peril together. Impact of climate change is shown first hand. Read at the beach to counteract the cold. Ta Ele Fountain
A No Limits favourite - we're pleased to announce that the lovely Jenny McLachlan will be back for 2024. Her Land of Roar series remains a favourite in The Rabbit Hole Brigg while her new series which follow on from her book Stink, are a hilarious read for readers aged 7 and above.
Superb. Mortal Engines with giant animals, a dose of near-magical technology and the impact of group psychology making beliefs become real. Epic battles, fascinating world building but ultimately a tale of what it means to belong. A wonderful, wonderful book. Thanks Alastair Chisholm
Fascinating read. Amnesic main character discovering the world around her, (horror free)dystopia for MG, lots of interesting food for through with the rise of AI and great grounding for big Sci-fi questions. As always, another smashing Vashti Hardy story. Thanks Vashti Hardy 📚
Vivid and imaginative take on multiple forms of magic, and a wonderful way to open young eyes to the wickedness in history. Lots going on here, and a complex series of plots makes it a Y6 challenge, but there is a real depth of magic and history to explore. Thanks Dr Nazneen Ahmed Pathak
