Since 2016, when I posted this picture, it has come up on my Facebook memories from The Bett Show every year and I still couldn’t agree more Urban Teacher! #edutwitter #education #teachersoftwitter

A brilliant teaching moment 💡Talk for Writing that would hopefully make Pie Corbett proud! A class of children’s love for writing ignited through the innovation of The Gingerbread Man as they passionately retold The Stickman! #talkforwriting #writing #edutwitter

Highlight of my day was a child and his mum’s conversation after doing a forest school session and being so excited his new wellies were still clean! For her to shout at him, as the reason they were is because he’d worn his brand new school shoes instead 👟🤣 #happyfriday

Anyone else have strong behaviour management in school and it is something you are passionate about … then a dog who is so cheeky and makes you question your ability 🐶 Good job he’s cute but time for the dog trainer I think🐾#DogsofTwittter #edutwitter

Since reading a chapter book at the end of day, the attendance in my class has improved 📖 They even talk about it in the playground! Thank you Krindlekrax🐊 Even if a character did die and I had to try not to cry in front of the class 😭 Any other good reads?#readingforpleasure

Children’s Mental Health Week reminds us to understand what children’s behaviour is telling us. Every child’s situation shouldn’t determine where they end up, just where they start. Let’s make connections and be the reason they succeed 💛#ChildrensMentalHealthWeek #letsconnect

Fantastic course by Team Teach today on de-escalating children’s behaviour whilst remaining positive and finding the triggers to understand how we can do better! My favourite type of learning #givechildrenavoice #ChildrensMentalHealthWeek #education 🧠❤️

Today we are celebrating Love Yourself day with the children to promote self love! Our PTA have made packs with love hearts and a badge to decorate with something they love and they can wear something that makes them happy! What would you wear? ❤️ #loveyourself #valentinesday

If you'd like to do something bold with your life, you will have to choose to do something bold on a specific day. There is no perfect day. There is no right time. For the trajectory to change, there has to be one day when you simply make the choice.

The difference driving to work and home in daylight makes is significant! Welcome Spring 2 term ☀️#springterm #edutwitter

I just read an article on flipped learning. I am going to trial setting homework about topics prior to teaching them to see if I can spend more time with children actively learning in lessons. Maybe even send home key vocabulary for a topic prior to engage parents! #homework 📖

Isn’t it funny when the internet goes down and you realise how much you rely on it! Had to tell a member of staff she would have to use paper and pencils instead as she looked so upset! Funny world we are now in 💻 #edutwitter #education #21stcentury

For World Book Day, I went as Dorothy and most children didn’t know who I was! I am still heartbroken 💔🌎📚 #WorldBookDay2023

My first summer not preparing a classroom but instead a nursery in my own home! 🏡🤰🏻Now to try and make it to half term as Deputy Head with no teaching responsibility. Feels strange but excited for my new adventure as Mummy Jay instead🤱🏻👶🏻#mumteacher #slt #newadventure #maternity

A summer well spent writing a Behaviour Curriculum. A lovely start to our school year setting expectations and teaching behaviour! We can’t expect all children to know what’s expected when this may not be consistent with their home life - let’s aim high! #behaviour 👩🏽‍🏫
