It’s been a great start to the JCPS Backpack League Gutermuth Elementary. Students have been engaged in reading, writing, and learning about animal body parts and their functions using the “What If You Had Animal…” texts! 🐾📚 JCPSAcademics

Day ✌🏻 of school. It has been a fun two days getting to know this new crew! Today, we read “Alma and the Worry Stone” and talked about some of the worries we had on the first day of first grade. Then Ss made worry stones and whispered happy memories into them! Gutermuth Elementary

🛠️ Ss worked with a partner to sort picture cards of tools into categories. We learned about many different tools from around the world this week and I loved hearing students make connections to tools they’ve used at home! Gutermuth Elementary EL Education JCPS Elementary ELA
