as someone with progressive, life-threatening disabilities, i have never in my life struggled with su!c!dal ideation as much as i have since MAiD came into law and that is very much by design.

Let's also not forget that all the trauma that came about from the GRR fiasco would never have happened if the SNP had got on and done it when they first promised. Queer Scots are already hurt by the SNP kicking our rights down the road - it's no wonder we're worried & angry now

From my experience, there were definitely elements of that. As someone who was frequently pushed the fringes both personally and professionally, though, I can tell you that the cool uncool kids still had their limits wrt how weird and awkward you could be.

Really disappointed that that the Scottish Government has gone back on their promise to fund vital changing places toilets. For years, they have strung along disabled people, only to pull the rug out from under them. PAMIS Changing Places UK Inclusion Scotland

Invisible disabilities are legit disabilities. Stop being weirdos about people with invisible things. huffpost.com/entry/christie…

This also shows the Scottish government cannot be trusted when it comes to autistic people. It makes me hope the LDAN Bill has been binned because I fear what’s in it otherwise

I was born in 1975 and started school in 1980. I assure you autism existed then, I may not have been diagnosed but I was autistic. But society preferred making us struggle instead of providing support.

Of all the things that are archaic this isn’t one of them. It’s just drawing lots. Do you have a better solution to decide who gets to proceed with Private Members Bills.

Jeremy Kyle and the rest of these snobs who've preyed on the working-class poor, destroying lives and families, should all be jailed. Absolute vermin who should be held accountable for the death of this poor man, and the trauma of many more. Vile.

Research has shown that making phone calls is the biggest single barrier to autistic people accessing healthcare. I’ve never seen or heard of a single NHS professional making an accommodation for that.
