In August 2014 the Unionists parties demanded the Scottish Govt save Fergusons shipyard, even if it meant public ownership. They also demanded everything be done to ensure future Govt contracts *went to the yard* to guarantee shipbuilding on the Clyde and save jobs.

Variations of this doomsday headline appear every year on BBC Scotland. They'll publish the same headline next year, and the year after that.

Oh no, we're doomed. What a curse.

Can you imagine a similar headline if your electricity was generated by a wind turbine instead of hydro? Or gas instead of tidal?

Folk won't care how the vessel is powered. This headline is solely to feed a political narrative. Tabloid editorialising is rampant at BBC Scotland.

The UK BBC's political news coverage generally matches what people feel. The coverage chimes with experience. BBC Scotland's news coverage is weird. It feels like another country. It *jarrs* with day-to-day experience.

BBC Scotland's coverage of two ferries is disproportionate. There are UK Govt contracts that *dwarf* the ferry mess by several orders of magnitude but they don't generate the same coverage on the UK BBC. The Ferguson Ferries story is political tabloid smear dressed up as news.

They're running the NHS phone-in again. Weaponising Scotland's NHS is a cottage industry at BBC Scotland. We've said before, a truly wretched broadcaster of no discernable worth to Scotland. A black hole that drains resource and confidence.
