During " नशा मुक्त भारत पखवाड़ा 2024" General Commissionerate, Mumbai Customs Zone III organised an awareness campaign at Welingkar (WeSchool) Mumbai, Matunga and a Nukkad Natak at Municipal School Complex, Vile Parle (E), Mumbai to raise awareness about the menace of Drug abuse.

During 25–30 June, 2024, Airport Commissionerate, Mumbai Customs Zone-III seized over 18.11 Kg Gold valued at Rs. 11.23 Cr across 24 cases. Gold was found concealed in Halwa Box (Sweets), undergarments, on the body & in body. Nine Pax were arrested.

On July 02, based on specific intelligence, Airport Commissionerate, Mumbai Customs Zone-III seized 07 birds (North Island Saddleback -01, Magnificent Riflebird -02, Lesser Bird of Paradise-04) found concealed in baggage of pax. Pax was arrested & remanded to judicial custody.

During 1–9 July, 2024, Airport Commissionerate, Mumbai Customs Zone-III seized over 16.01 Kg Gold valued at Rs. 10.08 Cr & Foreign Currency valued at Rs. 0.48 Cr across 22 cases. Gold was found concealed in clothes, in refills of pen, on the body & in body. Six Pax were arrested.

On July 14, Airport Commissionerate, Mumbai Customs Zone-III seized over 4.27 Kg Ganja (Marijuana) valued at Rs. 1.95 Cr. Ganja was found concealed inside food item and toy boxes. Pax was arrested under NDPS Act 1985 & remanded to judicial custody.

Member CBIC, Sh. Rajiv Talwar, visited new ICP facility at Rupaidiha & the LCS on India - Nepal border. He was briefed on operations by CC (Prev) Sh. Ajay Saxena, Commandant Sashastra Seema Bal, Manager Land Ports Authority of India & PGAs and interacted with all Customs Officers on 15/7/2024.

During 10–14 July, 2024, Airport Commissionerate, Mumbai Customs Zone-III seized over 13.24 Kg Gold & Electronics valued at Rs. 10.33 Cr & Foreign Currency valued at Rs. 0.45 Cr across 24 cases. Gold was found concealed in clothes, on the body & in body. Seven Pax were arrested.

During 15–27 July, 2024, Airport Commissionerate, Mumbai Customs Zone-III seized over 20.18 Kg Gold valued at Rs. 13.11 Cr, 4.98 Kg Ganja & Forex valued at Rs. 0.96 Cr across 39 cases. Gold was found concealed in cardboard boxes, on & inside body of pax. Seven pax were arrested.

During 28 July – 07 Aug, 2024, Airport Commissionerate, Mumbai Customs Zone-III seized over 4.66 Kg Gold & Electronics valued at Rs. 4.00 Cr across 14 cases. Gold was found concealed between two layers of clothes, inside the speakers, on the body & in body. One Pax was arrested.

During the night of 15/16 Aug 2024, Airport Commissionerate, Mumbai Customs Zone-III seized 482.66 gms Cocaine worth approximately ₹ 4.83 Cr. The goods were concealed in body cavity. One Kenyan passenger was arrested.

On 24 Aug 2024, CSMI Airport, Mumbai, Zone-III seized 24 KT Gold Wire (Rhodium plated) weighing 2.779 kg valued at ₹ 1.87 Cr. in one of the unique cases. Gold was concealed in inner lining of baggages carried by a couple travelling from Jeddah. Both the passengers were arrested.

On 24 Aug 2024, CSMI Airport, Mumbai, Zone-III seized NDPS Goods purported to be Marijuana (Ganja) net wt. 4.890 Kg, valued at Rs. 5 Crores approx. The contraband was found concealed in breakfast cereal boxes. 01 Carrier Pax along with 02 receivers have been arrested.
