Made an opening speech at an International Conference on #Domestic #Violence Prevention: Opportunities and Perspectives organised by Ailə, Qadın, Uşaq Problemləri üzrə Dövlət Komitəsi in Baku🇦🇿. The 2-day conference brought together professionals & scholars to discuss all aspects of DV & how to tackle effectively.

Successfully concluded International Conference on #Domestic #Violence Prevention: Opportunities and Perspectives held in Baku🇦🇿. The two-day conference provided a platform for fruitful discussions on how to effectively tackle domestic violence against #women and #girls.

Today I met with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Essam bin Saleh Al-Jutaili. We stressed the friendly relations between 🇸🇦-🇦🇿 & discussed the current situation of women's rights in our countries & future cooperation in this regard.

Our discussion entailed an exchange of ideas on the projects that have been implemented so far within the cooperation b/w the Ailə, Qadın, Uşaq Problemləri üzrə Dövlət Komitəsi & UNDP Azerbaijan 🇦🇿, as well as a discussion on future perspectives.

Today, we organised a roundtable with UNICEF Azerbaijan on the concluding observations from Azerbaijan's 5️⃣th & 6️⃣th combined periodic report under the CRC during the 92nd session of UNChildRights. Discussed the steps to better protect and ensure the rights of all #children in 🇦🇿.

Today, I met with UNFPA Azerbaijan Country Director Mariam Khan. We discussed proposed legislative changes on domestic violence, COP29🇦🇿, emphasising the impact of climate change on women & children. We also highlighted possible #cooperation opportunities between our agencies.
