One of the causes of this is the constant exposure to the woman's awrah (e.g social media, public, p*rn, etc). So already before marriage, you know exactly how a naked woman looks like, what the different body types & physiques are, etc. This results in becoming more picky

If you would learn about Prophet 'Isa عليه السلام from the Bible, he would come across as a failed Prophet with false prophecies, bad character, contradictions, lack of clarity in guidance, etc. The Prophet 'Isa عليه السلام from an Islamic perspective is free from all of that.

Imam Miyara al-Maliki's sharh on matn ibn Ashir: fasting on the Mawlid of the Prophet ﷺ is makruh. He quotes Shaykh Zarruq stating that some of the esteemed scholars around Shaykh al-Haj ibn Ashir's time said that because it is an eid of the Muslims (like jum'ah)

The methodology of the Sufis is to follow the path of the Salaf and do tafwidh of the mutashabihat verses and ahadith because this is the safest path to adhere to. There is no risk of falling into tashbih for the Ahl al-Tasawwuf.
