Approaching my teaching of ‘Macbeth’ very differently this year. Each lesson has a ‘big question’ which students answer by the end. Every so often we revisit our big questions & answer as a self quiz, revealing what is embedded and missing gaps in knowledge. Simple but effective!

Great team meeting today KSAB Business and Economics - focusing on literacy and the understanding around tier 2 and tier 3 language. Excited to try some of the practical strategies outlined by @HuntingEnglish - ‘Closing the vocabulary gap’. Will be using the Frayer model with Economics.

Lots of commentary on the teaching of race and racism at the moment. In English schools, it’s probably fair to say that the study of race and racism in history lessons has predominantly been handled in the context of American history, particularly at GCSE and A Level.
