Carmelina one of my favorite horses in training what a pretty filly with good soundness and speed. I’ve seen her 3 times now in person and she’s yet to lose when I watch her.

The last 2 times I’ve talked to retired jockeys 2 things have happened 1. They tell me great stories from their career 2. They ask if I’m autistic The thing is I actually am I just don’t talk about it much, are they secretly great psychologists or am I that obvious?

Thank you everyone who offered their words of encouragement. My favorite thing about joining horse racing has been the chance to unmask, express, and really talk about racing with other like minded people. Makes me really feel true to myself and who I am.

After EJ Won The Cup secured his third derby of the year it got me thinking what horse has won the most Derby races. So far it's a huge tie with many great horses winning 4 derbies. to name a few Black Gold, Candy Spots, Lost Code, Smarten, Olympio, and California Chrome.

For fun here is every first time dirt runner in the Breeders Cup Classic. 26 have tried only 1 has won (Arcangues) with 3 seconds and 2 thirds. I excluded 2008-09 at Santa Anita because that wasn't dirt. It's not impossible but it's a tall order.

In 24 hours these videos I took at the 2024 Santa Anita Handicap have gained new meaning. Two horses right next to eachother now winners of 1 million dollar grade 1 races at 1 1/4 only a day and a coast apart Highland Falls and Mixto. Horse racing is unpredictable!
