France strongly condemns the drone attack on Tel Aviv on the night of July 18-19, claimed by the Houthis. We call for de-escalation and reaffirm our commitment to regional stability.

France welcomes the unanimous adoption of the 12-month renewal of UNIFIL's mandate. The peacekeeping troops have a crucial role on the ground in de-escalating and reducing tensions along the Blue Line. France is proud to contribute with a contingent of 700 among them.

Two days after the 33rd Ukrainian Independence Day, Russia launched the most massive drone and missile attack on Ukrainian energy infrastructure since the beginning of the conflict. This must stop: Russia must respect international humanitarian law and end its aggression.

Facing a dire humanitarian situation in Gaza, it is imperative to guarantee full humanitarian access. Israel must establish an effective deconfliction mechanism & facilitate the vaccination campaign against polio. A sustainable ceasefire is the only way to stop this disaster.

France was outraged to learn of Hamas’s murder of six Israeli hostages. The only solution to end the war and the humanitarian disaster is an agreement between Hamas and Israel, to allow a ceasefire, the release of the hostages and the delivery of aid to the Palestinians.
