There’s still time to tell your U.S. Senators that Nebraska families need the expanded Child Tax Credit so we can slash child poverty and infuse local economies. Email now before the Senate votes! ujoin.co/campaigns/2685…

🚨The U.S. Senate plans to vote TODAY on the expanded Child Tax Credit - email our Senators and tell them to pass this bill because 80,000 NE children need the CTC! 📨 ujoin.co/campaigns/2685…

We are deeply disappointed that the Senate didn’t advance the Child Tax Credit legislation to support 80,000 Nebraska children. Kids and families deserve better.

This school year, Lincoln Public Schools is expanding no cost school breakfast & lunch for kids in 23 schools through CEP! That means around 12,000 kids (and their parents) have 1 fewer worry when it comes to getting kids out the door in the morning & 1 fewer challenge to keeping kids fed 🙌

LB34 has been advanced --but WITHOUT harmful tax increases. However, there are still $40 million in cuts to DHHS being considered via LB2, which is up for debate tomorrow in the #NEleg. Tell your senator to vote NO on ❌LB2: bit.ly/NElegSenator

❌LB2 advanced to select file👎This bill irresponsibly cuts more than $40 MILLION from DHHS. Drastic budget cuts like these will significantly impact our state’s ability to serve communities throughout Nebraska. Keep telling your senator to vote NO on LB2: neappl.es/NoOnLB2

"Nebraska Appleseed, an advocacy nonprofit, excoriated the measure that cut several state agency budgets — including $40 million from the Nebraska DHHS. The group fears those cuts could hit food and child care assistance for low-income residents." apnews.com/article/nebras…

We stand with our friends at Civic Nebraska, ACLU of Nebraska & Public Rights Project and submitted an amicus brief in support of their case. LB20 is constitutional, and it’s consistent with how many other states have restored voting rights.
