Last week climate sceptics claimed that showing June was the warmest on historical record was cheating because it was random when the month occurred. This #dataviz shows the warmest and coolest periods in Central England from 1 day to 30 years. All the warmest are very recent!

This shows the top 5 warmest years for the UK (mean temperatures since 1884) for all the months and seasons. The longer the averaging period the more top 5 years are in the previous 20 years.
