There should be children and families enjoying exhibits like this on a summer weekend. There was no good reason to suddenly close the Science Centre, and there is no reason to rush ahead with dismantling its exhibits and displays other than to ensure that it doesn’t reopen.

My hot parenting take: Homework is stupid. Sending your kid to school for 7-9 hours a day and then sending them home with 1-2 hours of homework is like your job sending you home to work from home everyday after a full shift. 7-9 hrs/day of school is already too much imo.

this is actually what should be set up in elementary schools to help show children the importance of careers and learning skills early, without it all being an overwhelming rush in the last years of high school.

it's actually good for people to have age gap friendships. like 20 year olds should be friends with 30 year olds. generational divides are a legitimate societal problem. older people and younger people have a lot to learn from each other and a lot to gain by supporting each other

It’s not about safety. It’s not about cost. It’s not about attendance. It’s not about students. It’s not about access. It’s not about improving facilities. It’s about filling parking spaces at Ontario Place for Everyone’s publicly-funded parking garage.

In some communities in Australia, when someone cuts down trees and vegetation in order to have ‘a better view’ from their house, the municipality puts up a sign on the same spot and keeps it there until the vegetation grows back.

We're watching a Toronto gem being dismantled right in front of our eyes. There has been no thought spared to OPSEU workers, students, or the 1 million visitors per year. We have to fight Doug Ford and his corrupt decision to shut down the Science Centre. CC: Save OSC

Who are the participants of these polls? I myself have never encountered one, let alone responded. Making an an assumption of the opinion of an *entire* province from only 1000 peoples’ responses is wildly misleading.

Maybe I’m insane, but somehow I’ve convinced my friends to go on 2-hour walks with me at 8am, before work. Anything is possible if you know the right people.

I can’t believe we had this in Toronto - a Chapters inside the old Runnymede Theatre, and then it was killed by a Shoppers. My first Toronto heartbreak (of many since).

Wonderful tribute to The Tragically Hip on John Street by Choir! Choir! Choir! + Hip fans, singing "Ahead By a Century." When my daughter was a baby, I'd sing her sleep with this song. #TIFF24
