My student Sukhveer Bhullar presenting his poster on “planting cover crops before corn harvest” at the southern branch ASA meeting in Atlanta.

Getting our lateral move fixed with new set of nozzles on 25 plus year long term experimental site at UF IFAS NFREC in Quincy, FL. It compares two cropping systems with and without irrigation.

It was a great week for my graduate students participating at various UF IFAS Solutions events. The latest was today “UF IFAS NFREC Spring Showcase where Sukhveer Bhullar and Aradhana Regmi participated in Ph.D and M.S graduate student competition and won second place each. Congrats to both!!
Great mentoring opportunity for me today & learning opportunity for my PhD student Sukhveer Bhullar. We were at Madison County setting up our Controlled Release Fertilizer placement trial on Corn. CRF is placed at 2 inches deep at 7 and 5 inches away from corn row. #CRF #Corn #BMPs
A very well attended corn field day at NFREC-SV in Live Oak, FL on June 6th. Amazing field tours and talks. Sukhveer Bhullar Shivendra Kumar and I got to discuss about #banding #nitrogen using #HighBoy and also response of N on 5 #corn varieties
