— Moving the start of boys'/girls' basketball, baseball, softball and girls' soccer one week later;
— Reducing allowed regular-season matches in baseball/softball (35 to 30), basketball (31 to 26), soccer (25 to 21) and volleyball (35 to 30).

Some other eye-catching bylaw change proposals: one that would permit IHSA athletes to capitalize upon their name, image and likeness; and another that would permit prep football teams to scrimmage against an opponent before the regular season begins.

Here's the bylaw-change proposal submitted, in part, by Bulldogs athletic director Matt Hensley to suggest a possible change to IHSA football regular-season scheduling and playoff qualification.
