'Inspiring the next generation of Climate Activists'. Our fabulous chair Niamh Ní Charra is speaking about the Mary Robinson archive. A fitting topic to match this year's theme, along with a wonderful showcase of the work undertaken by Mary over the last 60 years #ARA2024
#ARA2024 Niamh Ní Charra makes the important point from the Mary Robinson Foundation that #climateChange disproportionately& adversely affects women. (This has knock on effects for #nursing & #archives both sectors primarily made up of women; we should be visibly active)
#ARA2024 what joy to hold an archive for an icon who inspires and informs (Mary Robinson) when your job is to inspire and inform Niamh Ní Charra 💙👏
If you are visiting Pálás Cinema or Light House Cinema check out the 'From the desk of..' exhibition offering a rare glimpse into the remarkable archive of Mary Robinson. Curated by Niamh Ní Charra with support of Loosehorse Break Out Pictures con-telegraph.ie/2024/08/27/exh… Mary Robinson Centre

Such an inspiring woman and a fascinating film. The snapshots from the archive are such a great touch, I just had to catch the exhibition while it was up Niamh Ní Charra University of Galway Library Archives @lighthousecin
ARA Ireland Niamh Ní Charra University of Galway Library Archives Mary Robinson Centre ARA UK+I Conference Archives and Records Association (UK & Ireland) Niamh's presentation was excellent. The archive sounds tremendous and while I knew Mary Robinson was exceptional, I didn't realise the extent to which she has had such a positive impact on human rights, especially for women and girls. Just brilliant work. #archives
Samhnasach ar fad. Níl oiread is focal amháin #Gaeilge le feiceáil Translink have decided to exclude dual-language signage from their new multi-million monolingual monolith, "Grand-Central Station", defying John O' Dowd, motion from Belfast City Council and guidance from Foras na Gaeilge
As a Killarney woman AND an archivist, this post from Clodagh Finn makes me very very happy! Thanks a mill Clodagh!
