Sorry to repeat myself, but you *really* need to know this.
Under the government's Public Order Bill, anyone who has protested in the previous 5 years can be forced to 'submit to ... being fitted with, or the installation of, any necessary apparatus' to monitor your movements.

🚨BREAKING: Tamil Refugees in the Chagos Island will be sent to a 'safe third country' if they are given refugee status.

This could mean families being shipped from the Chagos Islands to Rwanda.

Another callous, neo-colonial move from this government.

MPs have debated trade scrutiny processes.

There was cross-party consensus that arrangements are utterly inadequate, and Govt has denied Parliament and the public chance to scrutinise agreements.

Urgent reform is needed.

Not quite bigger than Blair, not far off.
Unlike Blair, Starmer govt will be elected with a car-crash economy in an unstable world. No soft option to rely on growth. If they want to reform, they'll have to be radical. And if they don't reform, they'll fail like these Tories have

Don’t forget, whatever they say today, the right-wing press, think tanks and big business leaders backed Truss’ budget to the hilt. This isn’t simply an incompetent PM, but an establishment which is out of touch and out of control.

Inflation hasn't been driven up by rising wages, but by financial speculation and monopoly control of food and energy. The answer is not pain for ordinary people but intervention to control these markets. This 👇is a great take on UNTAD's report. theguardian.com/commentisfree/…

Not everyone is suffering from the 'highly uncertain and divergent macro environment.. To us this actually means more opportunity' say the very hedge funds Truss wants to free up through the financial services bill. The markets have 'taken back control' reuters.com/markets/europe…

It isn't that complicated.
1) Tariff reform to reduce bills for the majority, paid by high income, high energy consuming households.
2) Emergency energy efficiency programme, funded through energy savings.
3) Permanent boost to income safety net, funded through taxes on wealth.
