New release of the #Kafka connector for #EventBridge 🔥 This time we added offloading large Kafka records to S3 and customizable event type mapping for even better IAM. IMHO Andreas Gebhardt created a new reference design for offloading events (see 🧵👇🏻) 📄 github.com/awslabs/eventb…

Eventbridge Pipes offer a great way to integrate many AWS services with each other without a need to involve more complicated orchestration mechanisms. Many key components of AWS can be used as sources or targets of these pipes. The article below from Marc Guerrini shows how

In case you missed it, we've launched a new Dashboard for Amazon EventBridge. It aggregates metrics like throughput, latency, failures, and much more across each of Event Buses, Pipes, and Scheduler. A great starting point to learn about available metrics. aws.amazon.com/about-aws/what…

Loving the new additions to Event Catalog! If you’re building EDAs, this is the best way to make your events easily visible and documented for your development teams. Keep up the great work David Boyne 🚀!

Say hypothetically (for legal reasons 'cos I can't promise roadmap items!) EventBridge were to add support for a different transformation language (purely hypothetically JSONata). How would you like to see us implement this in our API given we need to maintain backwards

Our latest launch! I can't count the number of times I have been asked if there is an easy way to encrypt PII and sensitive data flowing through a workflow. Well here is the answer! AWS Step Functions now supports KMS with Customer Managed Keys! aws.amazon.com/about-aws/what…

To be clear: the hot take here is that we were able to switch between AWS primitives as our use case evolved. Kinesis has similarly low latency, but the way we used it meant we introduced unnecessary latency. More detail here: x.com/nickste/status…

Schema validation is a critical capability for anyone building Event-Driven Architectures, but we've lacked a comprehensive example of how to implement it on top of EventBridge. Giedrius has changed that with this fantastic implementation: github.com/aws-samples/se… Love this!

Proud to share that Momento has been added as an official Amazon Web Services event bridge API destination 🚀. It is so cool to see us added along side companies I've always looked up to like Datadog, MongoDB, and Splunk. Cant wait to see what people build! docs.aws.amazon.com/eventbridge/la…
