Managed to get my hands on A Short History of the Scottish Coal Mining Industry, published by the National Coal Board’s Scottish Division in 1958. The book combines a geological history of coal formation with an account of centuries of mining in Scotland since the Middle Ages.

I'm grateful to Parkhead HA for their lovely words about my dad, John Ferguson MBE. My family and I are truly heartbroken but very grateful for all the good wishes and messages of condolence we've received. A real comfort at this devastating time.

I'm very grateful to Eszter for this lovely tribute in the Glasgow Times which was always my dad's favourite paper. Thanks to Stacey Mullen for making this happen. He would be so proud.

Installed on the exterior walls of our building throughout the summer, 'The Jessiefield Collection' is an imaginary museum that grew out of a year-long collaboration between Alice Myers and a group of artists in prison at HMP Dumfries.

What kind of Scotland do we want to live in, not one without artists, theatre, writing, a creative sector, and that’s what happens when creatives can’t create. Calling all to sign this open letter being sent today docs.google.com/document/d/1nI…
