While #RedBull & #Mercedes have introduced revised floors, bodywork and suspension, #McLaren did not heavily update the #MCL38 and focused mainly of downforce levels on rear wing (+beam wing). Here are the wings McLaren raced from Imola to Belgium (many differences). #F1 #TechF1

For the #DutchGP, Oracle Red Bull Racing revised the rearward (1) halo fairing and (2) the mirror stays, to "improve the total pressure available downstream (1) to the floor upper surfaces & along the sidepods" (2). Also, the exit of the engine cover has been narrowed. #F1 #TechF1

#McLaren’s first upgrade since Miami is a big one. Floor modification “improves local load generation around the floor edge as well as flow conditioning improving overall floor performance”. Shapes look similar, but smaller & less rounded support brackets. #F1 #TechF1 #DutchGP

#McLaren upgrade for #DutchGP (2). New front brake scoop improves overall downstream flow conditions, resulting in increased aero load without compromising cooling. The front susp also modified to match the changed flow, mainly where the scoop meets the legs. #F1 #TechF1

#McLaren upgrade for #DutchGP (3). New higher downforce rear wing which, if used in qualifying and the race, will be the latest addition to the team's long list of different versions of the rear wing. To match the redesigned RW, there is also a new beam wing. #F1 #TechF1

#McLaren upgrade for #DutchGP (4). The rear suspension shape has been revised to "improve airflow around the rear corner, diffuser and & beam wing". As for front susp., subtle changes, but we need be careful here because the angles of the 2 pictures are not identical. #F1 #TechF1

In the last six races, #Norris lost positions at the start five times (🇪🇸, 🇬🇧, 🇭🇺, 🇧🇪& 🇳🇱) and managed to keep his position in one (🇦🇹). In comparison, #Piastri gained positions in 3 races (🇪🇸,🇭🇺,🇧🇪), lost 1 place (in 🇳🇱) and kept his position in 🇬🇧. #F1 tinyurl.com/2fe3en9r

New low drag, low downforce rear wing for the #Ferrari at #Monza. Many differences from the 2023 spec: new wing is thiner, smaller curve between endplate and main plane (now separated), endplate itself is straighter, the tip of the flap is cut off... #F1 #TechF1 #ItalianGP

A new diffuser on the #Ferrari at #Monza is part of a big package. As floor fences have been updated, boat and tunnel expansion have been subsequently reoptimized. As you can see, the boat keel is very different from the previous version and the other designs. #F1 #TechF1 #SF24

In addition to the front and rear Monza wings, #McLaren introduced a new engine cover: more bulbous shape present on the upper portion of the cover, around the Dell logo, and new opening after the shark fin. #F1 #TechF1 #ItalianGP

New #McLaren engine cover is slightly different from previous spec. Looks a little wider in engine cover & gutters. But it's just a few mm, and the angle is not extactly the same... It's as if McLaren, being cautious, didn't want to upset a concept that is working. #F1 #TechF1
