Regardless of where you stand in the royalty debate - no marketplace will be able to survive if they choose to enforce royalties. They will get crushed by marketplaces that don’t.

I believe most of the value at events happens off the main stage. At conferences it exists in the cafes and bars. At sports it's the pre/post meetups or the other things going on around the TV. Same with concerts.

As metaverse builders we need to understand and replicate this.

TL;DR:
- I feel the timing of Othersidemeta is perfect.
- Yuga Labs and Improbable understand what is actually needed vs wanted.
- The real alpha is not the platform itself but the builder community silently forming around it.

On top of this I feel like the timing is right. The technology is feasible, the space is big enough to support a major mainstream product, and the capital is clearly signaling support. You don't get a storm like this often. 8/
