Not ashamed to admit that I have adored The X-Files right from day one. It's easily one of my favorite shows of all time (and S4 E10 Paper Hearts still crushes). So yeah, I preordered these the very second they went live today.

Well there's some disappointing news for the day. Rest well, big guy.

Of all the movies I've seen this year, Alien: Romulus is definitely one of them. A perfectly mediocre, overly nostalgia-bait outing that sits somewhere in the middle of the Alien film catalogue. Certainly not the worst, but nothing remarkable either.

Okay, who thinks I can hit 1500 subscribers by September? That’s a steep hill to climb but I think it’s possible!

Absolutely gutted by the news this morning on the death of 31 year old Johnny Gaudreau and his brother. I loved watching Johnny Hockey play. Incredible talent and by all accounts a genuinely wonderful human being. Just devastating.

My Mrs raises Monarchs during the summer and our last batch is taking flight. This little guy climbed out of the enclosure onto my finger, and has been enjoying some of the breeze while clinging to this flower in our front yard.

Last summer hockey game of the season for my daughter. Just warming up for the high school season this fall.

Though I'm a Flyer fan through and through, I'll be lending support to the Columbus Blue Jackets this season. Johnny Hockey was more than a player for one team -- he was emblematic of the best of what we all could be, on and especially off the ice. Will miss you, 13.

It's certainly not a bad weekend when you have new Snow Patrol to dig into. A pretty solid new release.

Been waiting for this show. Actually more interested in this than the Gunn Superman reboot. Hope it lives up to the hype.
