Reflecting on #EAA2024.Progress in non-invasive techniques over 2-3 decades is great. Yet, much remains to be done. Archaeology's small market limits tool development. We need better ways to integrate & derive insights from the data. The potential is there, but tools are scarce.

Let's take a look at the types and categories of monuments visible in European open LiDAR datasets. Round 1: Mounds

Round 2: Let's take a look at another category of monuments. These are holloways, tar pits, mining pits, peat extraction areas, trenches. Really significant features in the cultural landscape that often get omitted in research.
