Self-indulgent nostalgia alert: 33 and a half years ago, I was among the Michigan students occupying 'the president's lawn' (he didn't actually live there) and running messages between the protesters sitting in at offices in two different administration buildings.

I predict in less than 20 years there will be no civil unrest or political violence. There will just be two groups of people holding up smartphone cameras at each other, every one of them afraid to even breathe.
