We can confirm a person sustained injuries on the Shearwater Flyer Trail last night. For privacy reasons, we cannot provide details on those injuries. DNRR’s investigation is ongoing and we do not know how long the trail will be closed. As we know more, we will provide updates.

The boat launch & lower parking lot at Oakfield Provincial Park will be closed Sept. 2–4, 2024. The upper parking lot, picnic areas, beach, & trails will remain open. Boaters can access Grand Lake using the public boat launch, Loch 5, 53 Kings Rd, Wellington during the closure.
