Welcome update re inquiry into mother and baby homes and inclusion of burials and unmarked graves. After engagement re baby graves in Milltown and elsewhere, I plan to submit Private Members Bill ensuring private cemeteries are subject to same regs as Council-owned cemeteries.

Thanks to Cathedral Qtr Trust CathedralQuarterTrust for setting up discussion tonight on the future of the area. The regeneration of the area is vital and Alliance reps Cllr Sam Nelson & I are committed to ensuring this in line with the cultural significance of the area.

Glad to have the boss in North Belfast and to take the time to listen to residents we've working with for the past few months. I am committed to ensuring everyone gets the representation they deserve.

Voted McAllister X 🗳️ Made it our usual family trip to the polling station with Cllr Sam Nelson and the boys. Good luck to all my Alliance Party colleagues across NI. Wherever you live in NI you'll have an Alliance candidate to support for progressive positive politics.

The election cements Alliance Party position as 3rd largest party in NI. With first past the post it's always tough but thank you to all the voters North Belfast, proud of the result here. Delighted for Sorcha Eastwood MP, the campaign was incredible and the result even better.

Great to meet with RCM_NI today to discuss ongoing challenges in midwifery such as workforce retention and the lack of a maternity hospital in NI. Look forward to continuing work with RCM going forward to hold DoH to account of addressing these issues.

I’ve said before that I think empathy is Belfast’s superpower. People who have suffered, who know pain - understand it in others. So the hate we witnessed yesterday is at odds with the city I know & am proud to represent. Yet it’s here & as we have seen before, it is very real.

Glad to see this result today, well done to all involved in the BMA & consultant chairs to get it across the line. Valuing our workforce is crucial to a stable health service.

Absolutely incredible invention by the Minister. What could schools possibly have done without this assistance. Never mind £25k for 10 schools for much needed equipment, replenishing of supplies, nurture rooms or anything else. The only solution to mobile phones in schools.

🚯 Community Litter Pick 🚯 Another litter pick around Fortwilliam roundabout this Friday at 3pm, meeting on Shore Rd junction, join if you can! Thanks to all who came last week- it really is disgusting that some think it's acceptable to treat our environment like this.

Thanks to Belfast City Council for quickly clearing up the rubbish abandoned on Antrim Road yesterday 👇 I would appeal to people to put your household rubbish in one of the many recycling centres if needed, and litter in the bins - let’s keep our city clean!

Reminder - tomorrow afternoon we are hosting another clean-up to tackle the mess on Fortwilliam Off Slip, meeting on the Shore Road (opposite off slip). We made good progress last week, but there's so much rubbish that we need another crack at it - any and all help welcome!

My questions yesterday around the police investigation into Katie Simpson's murder. We need to ensure this never happens again and lessons are learned. Tackling violence against women and girls needs full public confidence in the policing response.
