One of our SLT service managers, Jane Hansell, retires tomorrow after 20+ years working as a Speech & Language Therapist for the NHS!We had a bit of fun this morning to start off the retirement celebrations - check out the video! 🤣 #spottheJane

This afternoon we continued the fun with a spot of afternoon tea,speeches,tears 😭,gifts,a slideshow,some 80s bangers&a few extra Janes in the crowd 🤣 A VERY HAPPY AND WELL DESERVED RETIREMENT JANE!We’re not quite sure what we’re going to do without you! Thanks for everything!

And so it was. We had the final farewell to Jane Hansell, one of our service managers, on Friday! It was a great evening with colleagues past & present and plenty of delicious tapas! Happy retirement Jane! 🎉🥳🍾🥂

Another great CPD session yesterday morning on all things respiratory and dysphagia! Covering anatomy,physiology, airway protection, breath/swallow cycle, ‘normal’ parameters, ‘tachy/brady’ terminology,with videos,evidence/base, worksheets&case studies!

Photo on the wall - back in 2019, then with Nottinghamshire Healthcare, NUH Acute SLT team dragon raced for our first IOPI machine. Recently after regular hard work with IOPI by patient & SLT/As, the patient no longer needed a previously expected PEG.
