.Vito Arujau won the John Smith Award as 2023 USA Wrestling Men’s Freestyle Wrestler of the Year. Jake Varner won the Terry McCann Award as 2023 USA Wrestling Men’s Freestyle Coach of the Year. They were recognized during the U.S. Olympic Team Trials – Wrestling in late April.
