#OTD 1945 Ravensbruck concentration camp was liberated.

At Merseyside UAF's 2017 Holocaust Memorial Day Commemoration, UAF were honoured that the Tczew-Witten Society, in partnership with Merseyside Polonia, presented moving poems by Polish women prisoners of Ravensbruck.

#OTD in 2004 UAF protested in Altrincham, Greater Manchester & in Birmingham against fascist Jean Marie Le Pen's visit to Britain.

The FN Leader came to support BNP Leader Nick Griffin.  The UAF protest involved trades unionists, Labour Party members & others.

16th April is the Memorial Day of the Hungarian Victims of the Holocaust.

The Shoes on the Danube Bank Memorial honours the victims of the Hungarian fascist Arrow Cross Party's militia. The victims were ordered to remove their shoes, before being shot at the edge of the River.

#OTD is the anniversary of the liberation of Bergen-Belsen.

UAF Merseyside were honoured at our 2016 Holocaust Memorial Day Commemoration, to hear Hazel Verbov speak about her father's experiences - Rev Leslie Hardman, the first Jewish British Army Chaplain to enter the camp.

Our thoughts today, as always, are with all those affected by the tragedy at Hillsborough and the 97 fans who will never be forgotten.
