Thousands of protesters are rallying in Union Square today on Labor Day for the Within Our Lifetime National March for Gaza to call for an end to the ongoing genocide. The action will follow a fundraiser event at Judson Memorial Church from 5PM to raise funds for medical supplies for Gaza.

Meta has permanently banned Within Our Lifetime and Columbia Students for Justice in Palestine from Instagram. This move—which attempts to repress pro-Palestine messaging and organizing in anticipation of the election and new school year—is opposed by many of Meta’s own workers.

Hours after the Within Our Lifetime Labor Day protest for Gaza started at Union Square, the march continues now heading back south with thousands of people shutting down the streets as the NYPD is unable to deal with controlling the huge size of the crowd.

Palestine will be free within our lifetime.
