I enjoyed my visit to University of Waterloo today to speak on the sustainability panel at OE3C. I was pleased to find the campus has implemented a diverse variety of patterned glazing on its buildings that is safe for birds! (complying with the CSA A460:19 Bird-Friendly standard)

As a PhD student of systems biology, I typically don't get many chances to explore other aspects of biology. There's so much cool stuff happening in this field, and I'm grateful to OE3C for giving me the chance to learn more🦇🐶🐝🐟

After OE3C, where did leftover food go? 🌯🧁 - The majority was donated to Community Fridge KW - Many meals were handed to people seen in the streets of downtown Kitchener - Food was also handed out to attendees and volunteers to take home for themselves or friends and family
